See you there! This the final week of assignments!I love you all so much, and am excited to celebrate our year with you. I'm always here to talk - or if you need anything at all. We are making memory books this week! Each student will have a page to share their experiences and memories - plus to show some pictures! Here is the process we will use to create our memory books:Here is an example of a memory book page:Answer the questions below:1. What is something you liked about this year?
We are nearing graduation!I know that this is both very exciting and very sad for most students. It can feel extra sad or scary because we are in quarantine and not together. I am always here to talk or give love if students need it! This week, we are working on our graduation speeches.Normally, we say these speeches as part of our promotion ceremony. Since we can't do that in person right now, we are going to make a promotion ceremony video instead! Here is the process we will use to write our speeches. Here are some examples of speeches from previous years:Scroll through to see more examples! We have 4 weeks of school left! For a lot of students (and teachers) this is both very happy and very sad. I am here to help students process and talk about anything they need. Today we learned about the final 5th grade projects that students will complete. The first project is called "The Best Part of Me." We will be working on this project all week! I have included explanations for all projects for parents and students. The Best Part of Me is based on the book read below (on Youtube).First, students watched this video. Then, we read the directions. Finally, we looked at examples from previous 5th grade classes:(Scroll through these photos to see more!) Students will work on "The Best Part of Me" with their teacher all week. They are due on Friday! Here's what happened in class:
Don't forget!Tomorrow students have Art and PA at 8:30. If you do not have a supply, that's okay! We know you are all working with what you have. Try to make substitutions, and let Ms. Reeves know if you are missing something you really need (scissors, glue, markers, paper)
